Skin Hunger

 

Sixty days minus touch

starved skin turns to pelt,

dense insensate sheath

blinking in the sun.

 

 

Jane Baston is originally from Oxfordshire but is now settled in Scotland. Her poetry and reviews have appeared in numerous places including StandMslexiaRain Taxi and Lunar PoetryShe has also published essays in Studies in English LiteratureProse Studies and Film and Literature Quarterly.
