Negotiating a difficulty: three lions
If you see the escaped lions
coming up the path by the river,
three of them, and there’s a public toilet
and nothing else in the fields
you go in, don’t you?
When two of them want to follow you in,
do you stand back and let them pass
or shut the door in their faces?
You are tempted by the polite choice
and they always behave as if they know the answer.
