Neu! Boots Are Made For Walking DAY THIRTY-ONE – Nick Allen

“Capacity means that someone who is under severe influence of drink or drugs … or who is asleep, may not be able to consent to sex. Being drunk can make someone vulnerable, it doesn’t mean they were ‘up for it’.” (Alison Saunders,  Director of Public Prosecutions)

“fuck me harder”

she said as he texted a friend
she said as he invited in that friend
she said as they poured her another drink
she said to the one who never spoke her name

they said, she said its just that she couldn’t remember
they said, she said and they pretend it was consent
they said, she said the same to other men
they said, she said as no one there could speak for her

she said and they took it to a retrial
she said in a whisper because money talks real loud in court

they said, she said the men with memories moved by money
they said, she said now can we get back to the beautiful game

she said as she had to move house again for her own safety

they said, she said and the patriarchy duly obliged
